Spring fever: catch it!

Spring is in the air and it’s time to set aside the hard core novels you curl up with under a blanket by the fire and move on to the lighter fare books fit to be stuffed in a canvas bag and taken with you wherever you go, indoors or outdoors. The deck is calling you outside, as soon will be the beach. It’s akin to moving from hefty portions of comfort foods to large salads and lots of fruits (with maybe a grilled steak or burger) when we change from winter to summer. Pollen count is high; birds are chirping; flowers are blooming – life is good. This spring has produced a bumper crop of fantastic books you won’t want to miss!

Local authors go to great lengths to research their books
David Robbins has been doing research in Africa for his upcoming novel, The Devil’s Waters. He is back home in Virginia and is hard at work. If you’re a David L Robbins Facebook fan (or rather “like”; “fan” is like so yesterday), you went to Africa with him as he provided travelogue status updates during his travels.

Dean King has released his latest Unbound. To research Unbound, Dean hiked across China, retracing the perilous journey of the Long March. The adventure served well for his book, but great material for an Outside’s Magazine article. Check out the Examiner.com article for details.

Check out these sizzling new titles hot off the press:
