About the author
Joe Wayne Brumett was born in Sullivan, Indiana. He received a bachelor's degree in religion and philosophy and then a minor in American history. Joe also did graduate work at Southern Illinois University and Harding College. He served in the ministry and now lives in Orange, Va, with his wife, Martha Ann. Joe is an avid Civil War historian and enjoys turkey hunting and fishing the lakes of the piedmont of Virginia.
